Medieval Times

A poster for the Medieval Times I made sophomore year. There's a lot of images in this one. The overall banner shape makes a large sword, at the edge of the banners you can see what looks like different castle tower tops, and in the text the lining up of the "I" in medieval and the "M" in times makes a broadsword shape. 

Matilda

These are spot illustrations for the much loved Rhode Dahl book, Matilda. The line work was done in pencil, then colored in photoshop. 

Marfan Syndrome

This was for my anatomy class. We had to do an illustration to accompany an explanation about a disease. Mine was about Marfan Syndrome, which is actually a really interesting condition. Apparently, Micheal Phelps has it. The piece was done in watercolor.

MORE VIKING!

This is an unofficial poster I made a while back for a viking festival that is this weekend. This was first done in Illustrator, and later brought into Photoshop to add that nice texture and golden tone.

Transitions!

Howdy! Welcome to my art blog. As you can see it's fairly new, but within the next few days I'll be uploading all sorts of good stuff. I'm going to kick things off with some art I'm selling at the CCAD Art Sale this weekend. The red piece is something I made a while ago, but it's held up quite well.

The green is a more recent watercolor piece, that was inspired by some Christmas break viking rants with my brother and the wonderful work of

Pavel Tartarnikov.

Strangely enough both pieces are shoulder-up portraits with eyes closed. Not intentional, but a good coincidence!
